Transfer fees mean businesses are losing out unnecessarily when sending or receiving money internationally using a traditional bank. Saxo Payments is plugging the holes where banks allow cash to seep through the cracks, by creating a marketplace in which everyone can benefit.
Saxo Payments is a seamless conduit for transfers; fees are negligible and transfers occur instantly within the Saxo Payments community, even across borders, as if the two companies were neighbours.
Saxo Payments enables FinTech businesses with international client bases to focus on their core activities, while extending their value chain and product offering allowing them to plug directly into the banking infrastructure. As members of the Saxo Payments Banking Circle, these enterprises can provide their merchants with global transfer capabilities via a web-interface branded in their own name.
And the merchants that join the Saxo Payments community benefit too. They will be able to reduce the cost of international bank transfers significantly as well as sending transfers instantly to a recipient within the Banking Circle irrespective of the recipient’s location.
Businesses seem to be afraid to stand up and demand instant global transfers, cheaper international payments, access to low FX rates and a better, more customer-centric service. But that is now set to change.
Saxo Payments is truly empowering global trade, whilst ensuring that financial regulation is completely adhered to, without impacting on business success.
This is how payments should be. Saxo Payments believes it will be the norm in future.

Anders la Cour
Chief Executive Officer, Saxo Payments
Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Saxo Payments, Anders la Cour worked as a technology and financial M&A lawyer at a tier one law firm in Copenhagen.
His experience in legal M&A, as well as in venture capital, coupled with his strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mind-set means Anders understands the financial tech industry. In identifying a flaw in how the FinTech sector is serviced by the banks, he has seized the opportunity to bring a solution to market that will be a serious game-changer and challenger to the status quo.
Anders is responsible for the day to day management of Saxo Payments as well as investor relations.
“Because FinTechs have been, rightly, focused on improving the customer’s user experience, the banking side of the equation hasn’t been addressed to the same degree. This means they haven’t had the ability to offer international bank transfers that match their ‘no barriers’ ambitions. That’s where Saxo Payments comes in.”

This experience will ensure that Saxo Payments can challenge market conventions, whilst complying with international payments regulation.
Laust is responsible for day to day management at Saxo Payments.
“FinTechs see compliance as a direct threat to their innovative spirit. Our challenge is to give them a solution that delivers compliance without adding cost, time or process to their business models. Saxo Payments enables FinTechs to focus on their core business.”
